EXAMINATION GENERAL GUIDE NOTES

Thank you for choosing Rockschool/RSL Classical Graded Music Exams. RS Event Center is the official Rockschool/RSL Classical Examination office
in Singapore. Please read the following information as a guide for you to fill in the entry form and enter the exam.

GENERAL GUIDE NOTES

  • This Entry Form is valid for Entry of 1 Candidate. If you wish to enter more than 1 Candidate, please attach additional forms.
  • There are separate forms for Diplomas, Music Theory, Music Production & Peformance Arts Awards Exams (PAA Exams)
  • We recommend you to refer to the following information available at www.rs-event.sg when entering the candidate:

1.COMPLETING THE FORM
1.1

Please complete all sections of the form:

1.1.a Paper Forms: Ensure all sections are filled by writing clearly in the boxes provided with CAPITAL LETTERS. A BOX should be left blank between names

1.1.b Online Forms: Ensure all sections are filled with the CORRECT INFORMATION before making payment and online submission

1.2Notes on Candidate Details: Candidate is the person who will be taking an exam.

Notes of Examination Details:

  • Grade refers to Grades 1 to 8
  • Level refers to Debut or Premier

Please refer to the Grades and Levels that are available for each examination subject that you wish to enter.

Notes on Exam Dates:

  • Any dates or time requested on the form are subject to approval. We are not able to guarantee your request can be granted. Appointment may be given for any date within the entire exam period, and the applicant or candidate is responsible to ensure he or she is ready from first day of the exam period. Reschedule fee is applicable for change of exam appointment.
  • RS Event Center reserves the right to charge rescheduling fees.
  • Recorded Video Exam candidates must submit your video within 3 months of registration/notice to upload.

Notes On Instrument/Add-On Equipment:

  • The exam center is equipped with the exam standard acoustic/electric piano and drum kit. Candidate is allowed to bring their own instrument or add on equipment.
  • For candidate using acoustic drum, any add-on equipment must be declared on this form upon registration. Candidate is responsible for the compatibility and performance outcome of any add-on equipment.
  • Due to compatibility issues, add-on equipment to electronic or digital drum kit is strictly prohibited
1.6Notes on Specific Needs: Rockschool do our best to support candidates with physical impairment or other disabilities. Please enter the special arrangement required for the needs as these must be discussed and agreed with Rockschool before entry. Details for the special needs in the form of a letter and official supporting documents must be submitted to Singapore exam office

Notes on Correspondence Details: The Correspondence details will serve as the official contact point with the Examination office pertaining to the candidate’s examination matters. It is the responsibility of the Contact person to pass on the relevant information to the candidate/parent /guardian/ teacher.

For recorded video exams, the provided email must be attached to an existing account on www.cloud.rslawards.com/sign-in or an account must be created. This is the same account used to download the exam book backing tracks or access digital purchases from RSL.
