The Rockschool Concert is BACK in 2023

After a long hiatus, the Rockschool Concert is coming BACK in 2023!

The event this year aims to feature Singapore’s Top scoring candidates for Graded Music and Performing Arts Exams from period D 2022 performing live on stage.

Curtain call at the Rockschool Concert 2017

Since RS Event Center started back in 2017, we have always tried to provide avenues for the Rockschool Community in Singapore to meet and celebrate music and performing arts together – Enter the ROCKSCHOOL CONCERT!

Our first Rockschool Concert took place in 2017 at the Biopolis and featured students and teachers performing a mix of hit tunes, and pieces from the Rockschool Syllabus, as well as students of the PAA Street Dance.

RSL Founder and Chairman Norton York graced the event and gave an inspiring introduction to open the event. He even played the trombone, and his son Oscar joined in playing his rendition of RSL’s Grade 8 Drums pieces.

In 2018, the Rockschool Concert was held at the SCO Concert Hall at Singapore Conference Hall – home of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. Special guest performers included Thai Acoustic Guitarist Mark Polawat, and Japanese piano & saxophone duo Kaori and Yuuka Nakamura, and a showcase of the then-newly-released Rockschool Ukulele Syllabus. Of course, no Rockschool Concert would be complete without very special dance numbers by our Performance Arts Awards (PAA) Street Dance students!

This year, we want to celebrate the efforts and hard work of the candidates and their teachers by showcasing the best of Singapore’s Rockschool Community!

We certainly look forward to seeing all the RSL Community in Singapore again as we celebrate the joy of Performing Arts and Music together!
