VIDEO SUBMISSION

1. The qualifying round will be scheduled from 9 – 11 August 2024.
2. You will be informed on your qualifying round schedule by Monday, 29 July 2024.
3. If you are unable to perform live at your scheduled time, please submit your video for the qualifying round by Monday, 5 August 2024
4. The performance needs to captured as a single, continuous shot in real time – you must not stop or pause the camera in between pieces (for categories playing more than 1 repertoire). Please ensure you keep the video as stable as possible and avoid zooming in or out during the recording.
   
   You must not use video editing software to cut out takes or reduce the time between pieces – the video should represent an audition/performance done in person as closely as possible.
   
   Your face must be visible in the video, so we can identify the person entering the competition – snare, bass drum, all toms, cymbals, pedals, and the player in the seated position, in full view throughout, with the kit presented side-on showing hands and feet. Getting a single camera shot of a drummer can be challenging, so try and find an angle where you can see the performer and equipment clearly: a slightly elevated position with the camera pointing slightly down can work well.
   
   Upload your video to a permanent file sharing service, such as YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox or Tudou. Temporary file sharing (such as WeTransfer) is not recommended, because the file will be deleted after a certain period of time.
5. Submit the link to your video in the form here.
6. In the security setting, please “Allow anyone with the link to view the file.”
7. Only video recordings, not audio recordings, are accepted.

BACKING TRACK SUBMISSION

If you have a backing track for your live performance at the qualifying round from 9 – 11 August 2024, please submit it here by Monday 5 August 2024. There is no need to submit a backing track if:

1. You are submitting a video for the qualifying round, and not performing live.
2. Your live performance does not require a backing track.

ATTIRE

1. Participants are required to be neatly and appropriately dressed for all sessions of the competition.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Open to all Nationalities.

2. The 1st Prize winners of the Junior, Intermediate, and Open categories, as well as the top prize winners of the Rockschool category from the previous year, cannot participate in the same category this year.
   

REGISTRATION

1. Registration Form is available at www.rs-event.sg
2. A completed entry form consists of the following:
   • A completed Registration Form
   • Registration fee is paid
3. Participants will be informed by 29 July 2024 on their competition schedules. In the event that a participant is unable to perform at the qualifying round, the participant will be disqualified. Registration fees will be forfeited and not refundable.
4. All participants can choose to perform live or through video submission. For Video Submission, please submit your video for the qualifying round by Monday, 5 August 2024.
   
5. Your registration form must be complete and any changes after the registration deadline may be declined by the organising committee. In situations where changes are accepted, there will be an administrative fee of $20.
6. Registration fee is not refundable.
7. Participants will be assessed on: Accuracy & Sync, Technique & Virtuosity, Musicianship & Creativity.
8. All participants who perform with backing tracks (Drumless track) should submit them by 5 August 2024. Only MP3 and WAV files will be accepted.
9. All participants are responsible for ensuring that their soundtracks comply with copyright laws. The organizing committee is not liable for any copyright disputes. Participants will be held accountable for any loss or damage incurred by the organizing committee due to such disputes.
10. Participants are advised not to modify or add any gear to the acoustic drum set provided by the organizer. If a participant must change or add gear, only one piece of gear is allowed per participant.
11. The organiser reserves the right to cancel any competition categories due to any unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation by the organiser, the registration fees will be fully refunded.
12. On the day of the competition, participants are to adhere to the order of performance which will be decided by the organising committee. No adjustment to the competition schedule will be made should the participant fail to turn up at the stipulated timing due to personal reasons.
13. Participants are required to report at the respective venue 20 minutes prior to their allocated time. The organiser reserves the right to disqualify participants who arrive later than the scheduled time.
14. The organiser will be conducting audio-video recording and photography during the event. Participants who wish to record video or take photos must inform the organiser in advance. Any recording or photography must not disrupt the competition. The organiser reserves the right to suspend recording or photography if it interferes with the event. By participating in the competition, participants consent to the use of any captured materials for future publicity.
15. In case of any dispute, the decision of the organising committee is final.
16. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in all publicity material.
17. Any personal data and other related information provided in the application form will be used by Asian Supreme Drum Competition 2024 for for processing participation requests and other relevant purposes related to the competition.
    
18. By entering the competition, the participant agrees to abide fully by the rules and regulations of the competition.
