• Playing from memory is highly encouraged.

VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  1. Please submit only one video link after you’ve uploaded that includes all your items.
  2. Only video recordings, not audio recordings, are accepted.
  3. Capture the performance as a single take, you must not stop or pause in between the recording.
  4. You must not use video editing software for your competition video.
  5. Your face with both your hands must be visible in the video, so we can identify the participant taking part in the competition.
  6. Record your video with a resolution of at least 720p making sure of good audio quality. Inadequate audio & /or video quality may cause an entry to be disqualified, or require resubmission.
  7. Check the video recording carefully before submission, making sure the picture and sound are of a reasonable quality and that the full recording has been captured.
  8. Avoid the lighting on your back or into the camera lens. The video must be reasonably lit so as to clearly see the participant.
  9. To prevent shaking of your video recording, you may stabilize your camera with a tripod stand.
  10. If you are playing with backing track, make sure the backing track is clearly recorded into the video.
VIDEO SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
  1. Video submission will only be allowed with a complete online registration and full registration fee payment.
  2. Record your Competition Video and upload your video to a permanent video sharing service, such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion. Temporary file sharing (such as WeTransfer) is not recommended.
  3. Allow the access to view your video link submitted. In the security setting, please “Allow anyone with the link to view the video.”
  4. Submit your competition video link HERE with standard File Name: TFAAPPIPC2024_Participant Name_Category_Reportoire (example : TFAAPPIPC2024_Vernice Tan_Children_A Thousand Miles)

BACKING TRACK SUBMISSION

If you have a backing track for your live performance at the qualifying round, please submit it HERE by 3rd September 2024. There is no need to submit a backing track if:

  1. You are submitting a video for the qualifying round, and not performing live.
  2. Your live performance does not require a backing track.

  1. Participants should wear their best performance attire.

  2. Performance repertoire are to be written clearly in the Registration Form.

  3. Participants do not need to upload sheet music.

  4. Registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registration fees are non refundable.

  5. Piano teachers, professional musicians, and those who derive their principal source of income from public performances are not allowed to participate.

  6. The 1st Prize winners of the Junior, Intermediate, and Open categories, from the previous session (2022), cannot participate in the same category this year.

  7. Participants should not approach the judges for any reason before or during the competition.

  8. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants who arrive later than the scheduled time.

  9. On the day of the competition, participants are to adhere to the order of performance which will be decided by the organizing committee.

  10. Audio/Video recording and photography of the competition can only be done by the organizer. By joining the competition, participants agree for the materials to be used for future publicity. No extra fee will be paid to the participants.

  11. All expenses for transportation, food, lodging and insurance for contestants and/or accompaniment are to be borne by contestants.

  12. The organizer for the competition holds no responsibility for any risks undertaken by contestants during the transportation to and from country-of-origin and the competition venue, as well as any health matters incurred directly and/or indirectly due to the competition.

  13. All copyrights to the recording, video recording, television publication, online publication, winner’s musicale and other related performances will belong to the competition committee.

  14. Any changes to the competition’s schedule will be announced through the official website.

  15. The organizer reserves the right to cancel any competition categories due to any unforeseen circum- stances.

  16. In the event of cancellation by the organizer, the registration fees will be fully refunded.

  17. The organiser reserves the right to change the prizes to other prizes of the same value at any point of time without prior notice.

  18. The prizes are non-transferable and all prizes are not exchangeable for any other form, i.e. cash, goods, credit or services In part or in full. Pictures of the prizes shown in the promotional materials are for illustration purposes only. Actual prizes may differ from the pictures shown.

  19. In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizing committee is final.

  20. By entering the competition, participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules & Regulations.

  21. The organiser reserves the right to interpretation of the Terms & Conditions of the Regulations.
